Managing Principal / Director level Financial Crime Transformation AML Sanctions & Fraud

Location: UK London or Edinburgh

Capco is growing our Financial Crime Transformation team and were looking for an experienced Managing Principal/Director to help leading financial services organizations transform their strategies and technologies in the fight against financial crime. If you have deep expertise in AML (AntiMoney Laundering) Sanctions Compliance Fraud Prevention and a passion for driving impactful change wed love to hear from you.

As a Capco Managing Principal/Director in Financial Crime Transformation you will be at the forefront of shaping and leading strategic initiatives to tackle financial crime within the financial services sector. You will work with senior stakeholders to design and implement comprehensive transformation strategies that address the evolving risks in AML Sanctions and Fraud Prevention.

What Youll Do

We are looking to recruit a Managing Principal / Director to lead Sanctions and Fraud transformation within Capco.

Successful candidates will lead in advising on financial crime risk management and delivering transformation across Sanctions and Fraud. The role will entail working across all types of financial institutions in the market to help them navigate and deliver against key regulatory requirements and business objectives. This would range across:

  • Supporting our clients to achieve compliance with regulatory obligations including dealing with remediation and response to regulatory reviews e.g. to s166.
  • Transforming financial crime and fraud operating models and processes through the implementation of new technologies that can bring a holistic and faster approach to identifying and managing financial crime and fraud risk whilst delivering cost optimisation for our clients.
  • Finding opportunities to save costs through innovation within existing antifinancial crime and antifraud functions.
  • Assessing benchmarking and redesigning financial crime and fraud target operating models and controls identifying weaknesses and proposing improvements.
  • Sourcing and implementing technology solutions for Sanctions and Fraud.

Skills & Expertise

  • A good understanding of the wider picture of financial crime and fraud including regulatory requirements risk assessment KYC and how all components interrelate and support each other across the three lines of defence.
  • Financial crime tooling and processes
  • Fraud (detection prevention response)
  • Sanctions regimes including tooling and processes

This will be coupled with strong change management experience and prior success either as a management consultant or within a change role in a financial services institution.

  • This role allows you to deliver as part of a longterm strategic partnership with our clients whilst developing within a forward thinking and entrepreneurial business.
  • An understanding of the key market global and regulatory drivers shaping the financial crime and the wider industry and an ability to articulate these by way of opportunities for consulting firms to support the industry.
  • Solution development showing a clear ability as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to enhance existing propositions and develop new ones.
  • Fulfil a key role in account and proposition development within Market Domains and Key Client Accounts assisting senior management to increase revenue. Build and maintain strong client relationships within the sector leveraging proven industry content and delivery capability. Formulate propositions and solutions that meet client requirements in addition to managing and directing pursuit activity. Develop and convert a pipeline of opportunities.
