** PLEASE NOTE: This is a contract position initially offered at 100 capacity 40 hours per week). **

AAVantgarde is a clinicalstage international biotechnology company headquartered in Italy. We have developed two cuttingedge AAV vector platforms to overcome DNA cargo limitations targeting Usher syndrome type 1B and Stargardt disease. The Role
In this role you will leverage your strong technical expertise to manage and optimize our data infrastructure. With handson experience in Snowflake Python and Azure you will play a crucial role in designing developing and maintaining robust data pipelines and systems. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless data integration storage and accessibility enabling our organization to make datadriven decisions.
Your primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing scalable data architecture optimizing performance and ensuring data quality and reliability. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into efficient and effective data solutions. Your expertise in programming and systems will be essential in troubleshooting and resolving datarelated issues as well as continuously improving our data processes and workflows.
Skills and experience required
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 35 years of experience in data engineering within a biotech organisation. Handson experience with Snowflake Python and Azure is essential. The ability to work independently and as part of a crossfunctional team in a fastpaced environment as well as strong attention to detail are also key requirements.
