Summary
Automotive Service Technicians quickly and efficiently perform routine maintenance and identify the cause of breakdowns and repair them using the most optimal solutions.
Responsibilities
- Performing work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or manufacturer standards
- Diagnosing maintaining and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine transmission electrical steering suspension braking air conditioning etc. to specification
- Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
- Testdriving vehicles and testing components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Providing labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
- Explaining mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a nontechnical manner to service advisors and customers
- Continuously learning new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
- Inspecting and testing new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Previous Dealership experience preferred
- ASE and/or manufacturer certifications a plus
- Automotive background
- Teamwork skills
- Must have clean & valid drivers license
