Job Description
This position is responsible for performing and overseeing the environmental and remediation services crew and equipment on a project site ensuring that work is completed safely and to the customers standards. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience with remediation and construction equipment operation and previous crew supervision experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain safety standards and requirements at all times for entire crew under supervision
- Perform and supervise others in various tasks such as;
- Heavy equipment operation clear & grubbing excavation grading backfilling etc. using trackhoe dozer loader backhoe skid steer offroad truck roller water truck etc.
- Dewatering & treatment systems installation and operation.
- AS/SVE & various other treatment system installations PVC & HDPE pipe.
- AST and UST removals & cleaning.
- Excavation shoring slopping sheetpile trench box etc.
- Site restoration asphalt concrete fencing sod/seed etc.
- Manage subcontractors and vendor deliveries.
- Work with PMs to ensure projects are staffed and supplied with proper manpower equipment & materials.
- Work in diverse environments such as confined spaces various heights and storage tanks
- Work outdoors in all weather conditionsheat cold dry or wet environment.
- Load equipment and other materials required for assigned job onto truck.
- Assist in the operation of equipment or power tools.
- Clean up work area and equipment after work is completed.
- Assist in the inspection of equipment tools and general work area
- Read plans specifications works orders and collect all basic equipment to perform tasks
- Complete all appropriate paperwork including services receipts.
- Additional duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- A strong commitment to safety
- Highly motivated individual demonstrating selfinitiative
- 10 years of experience operating heavy equipment and crew leadership in the construction and remediation services field
- Ability to read and understand blueprint drawings surveys construction drawings and specifications
- Strong customer service skills
- Computer skills strongly preferred in Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to manage and motivate others
- Ability to travel for extended periods of time
- Valid drivers license required CDL preferred
- Ability to work overtime weekends nights and holidays as required
