The Cardiac Neuroscience laboratory of the Department of Kinesiology and Health located at the Center of Alcohol Studies on the Busch Campus of Rutgers University New Brunswick conducts substance use research that integrates the conceptual models and methods of psychology neuroscience physiology and advanced quantitative strategies. Our research focuses on cardiovascular signaling to understand the relationships between alcohol and other drug use behaviors cognition emotional regulation and brain activity. This position focuses on psychophysiological methods to study how awareness of internal bodily states integrates with emotion regulation cognition mental and physical health and behavioral flexibility towards alcohol and . The postdoctoral associate will work collaboratively with physiologists psychologists and neuroscientists to model psychophysiological processes that support adaptive behavior.
