Job Description

Schedule: 40 Hours Days 8am5pm Full Time Benefit Eligible NonUnion
Position Summary:
- Ensures the training orientation and competency of all pharmacy technicians and senior pharmacy technicians.
- Assists the Director with quality reporting of automated dispensing machines.
- Assists the Director in interviewing hiring training and supervising pharmacy technicians and senior pharmacy technicians.
- Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist prepares all medications all I.V. additives sterile irrigations and other products following established procedures
- Assists in the maintenance of Pyxis machines.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Pharmacy Technician experience of 5 years in a hospital; automated dispensing machine experience
- Ability to supervise and manage pharmacy technicians and senior pharmacy technicians. Ability to train others.
- Certification/Licensure: Current PTCB certification
- Software/Hardware: Pyxis Meditech
