As Legal Counsel supporting mainly the Italian jurisdiction reporting directly to the Lead Counsel for DACH FR & IT this role will require proactivity autonomy and drive. You will be involved in daytoday legal support to the region advise on corporate and operationally relevant matters to support the growth of the company with a focus on Italy draft and help commercial teams negotiate commercial agreements to support exciting productions and partnerships all within a fastpaced company undergoing an ambitious regional expansion.
You will have the opportunity to work in multiple areas of the law and be required to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members within and without the department. You will be expected to work in the following areas in Italy (and providing additional support in similar tasks to other jurisdictions around the world):
- Learning about legislation and the Italian jurisdiction for the matters entrusted to you
- Drafting / revising key commercial contracts terms and conditions and similar legal documents
- Providing support to business teams and upper management in their negotiations of deals and contracts you are involved in
- Advising on general legal matters related to the Italian markets and our product fit and compliance within them
- Take ownership of dispute resolution including litigation prioritising strategies that lead to practical winwin results
- Advice on engagement of and coordinate and prioritise work of external legal advisors
- Prepare / revise internal templates guides and similar knowledge management key documents
- Participate in ongoing compliance functions as required
- Prioritise your and others work
- Participate in the upskilling support and growth of other team members
ABOUT YOU
In order to be successful in this role you will:
- Be a barred / practising lawyer with 46 years of PQE in the legal field (corporate or law firm)
- Have academic legal training in Italy or PQE working with the region
- Speak fluent English and Italian with a command of legal English and Italian (fluency in another language is a plus)
- Have an excellent academic record and/or experience in topnotch companies or toptier lawfirms
- Have a keen eye for strategy and business and be committed to company goals
- Possess strong technical skills
- Be an effective communicator who brings emotional intelligence to work
