The City of Berkeley invites you to apply for the position of Mental Health Clinical Supervisor in the Health Housing & Community Services Department! In this role you will supervise the daytoday operation of a unit within the Mental Health Division Childrens System of Care Adult System of Care or Crisis and Assessment Unit) or the Aging Services Division (Social Services Unit).In addition to providing clinical and administrative supervision to professional staff you will have the opportunity to supervise trainees who represent the next generation of behavioral health clinicians. You will also provide direct services or consultations for more complex cases.
A typical way of gaining the knowledge skills and abilities for this position is aMasters degree and three 3 years of fulltime postlicensure experience as a health professional in a mental health agency. Experience as a lead in a mental health clinic is desirable.
Other requirements include California licensure as a Clinical Social Worker Marriage and Family Therapist or Psychologist. Must maintain license in good standing over the course of employment.
When driving on City business the incumbent is required to maintain a valid California drivers license as well as a satisfactory driving record.
