The NightingaleBamford School seeks a Middle School History Teacher (focusing on grades 5 and 6 for the academic year. We seek an educator who will bring experience enthusiasm and a sense of equity to a teaching load that includes ancient and medieval world history geography and world religion and culture and may expand to include additional topics. Qualified candidates will hold an undergraduate degree in history or a related field and at least three years of teaching experience at the middle school or upper elementary level. Collaboration is central to the work we do within the history department at NightingaleBamford; candidates must be prepared to work closely within a team. Candidates will demonstrate a commitment to best practices in history pedagogy excellent organizational skills a passion for teaching children and early adolescents strong written and verbal communication skills an ability to meet deadlines detail orientation and willingness to pursue professional development. Our faculty members are expected to value diversity as a source of strength to commit to equity and inclusion and to contribute to the school community outside of the classroom.

SALARY
In compliance with NYCs Pay Transparency Act this positions annual salary range is $75000 $105000. When extending an offer Nightingale considers factors such as (but not limited to) the positions scope and responsibilities the candidates work experience education/training key skills internal peer equity and market and organizational considerations.
