Job Description

Purpose
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll for all USA employees and acts as Payroll Specialist backup for ther payroll jurisdictions (Canada Australia and UK).
Responsibilities
Enter data into payroll systems (i.e. process new hires and departures update employee information
vacations absences leaves etc)
Manage workers compensation
Calculate statutory holiday entitlements when applicable
Maintain Intelerads earned vacation and other earnings policies that applies to payroll
Prepare produce and issue all yearend reports for the various payroll groups (W2
Complete verify and process documentation for employment and for workers compensation
Verify process and report amounts for 401k
Process special payments as requested (bonus salary increase adjustments etc.
Prepare reports statements and summaries related to payroll and benefits for appropriate parties and
departments
Assist with periodical audits (internal financial and tax authorities)
Respond in a timely and professional manner to questions from employees and managers regarding
payroll vacation etc.


Qualifications :

Employment Prerequisites
Technical Skills:

  • 35 years of experience in a similar role (experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus);
  • Experience managing full cycle payroll
  • Experience with yearend processing and filing
  • Knowledge of legislation and regulatory compliance in US and familiar with the different states
  • regulations
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent/relevant experience
  • Member of the American Payroll Association (preferred)/Certified Payroll Professional (preferred)
  • Proven ability to work with confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and financial skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels within the company

Desired Competencies

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
Experience working in a dynamic fastpaced environment
Teamoriented
