A Dialysis Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care at one of DCIs incenter hemodialysis units as part of a patient care team. Our RNs are integral in ensuring safe care and the highest quality outcomes are prioritized for every patient.
Schedule: PerDiem shifts start at 5am
Responsibilities
What You Can Expect:
- Prepare dialysis machine its alarms and treatment supplies and ensure quality standards are met
- Perform hemodialysis treatments per facility policies and procedures
- Ongoing patient education training and health coaching
- Monitor patients during dialysis assessing and communicating changes with physician and families
- Administer and chart all prescribed medications
- Follow CDC/CMS infection control regulations
- Participate in patient care conferences rounds and chart reviews
- Document required patient education efforts
- Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals
- Assist in medication inventory maintenance
- Lead a small patient care team
- Contribute to onboarding new staff members as directed
- Additional tasks as requested
Qualifications

- Ability to problem solve
Education/Training:
- Accredited nursing degree required
- Dialysis experience not required job shadow opportunities available
- DCI provides 3months of comprehensive training including classroom group sessions and oneonone skills training
