Job Description

The University of Iowa Community Clinicsis seeking a 100 Medical Assistant II 40 hours per week) to work at ourNorthgate UrologyClinic. University of Iowa Health Cares specialty clinic provides a convenient location for medical and surgical care for male and female patients and selected services for pediatric patients. This position will mainly support our patients at Northgate Urology Clinic but could float to other clinic locations based on clinical needs/hours.

Our experts provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment in the clinic setting as well as surgical interventions for all urologic system diseases and disorders. University of Iowa Health Care is a national leader in diagnosing and treating bladder and urinary disorders in both adults and children. Our multidisciplinary teams are formed from medical and surgical specialties across the institution to provide patientcentered care. Our team develop relationships and get to know our patients and monitor patient care history and deliver personalized compassionate care every time to each patient.

Duties to include:

  • Staff will support our Urology Clinic.
  • Under direct supervision of physician physician assistant nurse practitioner or registered nurse.
  • Performs technical patient care and related clerical functions in an ambulatory setting.
  • Duties may involve the use of electronic word/data processing equipment and/or conventional office equipment.
