Job Description
Join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Finance team! We are looking for entrepreneurial analytical creative flexible leaders to help us redefine the IT industry. In this role youll be at the center of driving AWSs sales strategy for Migrations and Modernization partnering directly with the AWS Specialist and Partner organization to manage optimize transform a $1B investment portfolio. Youll collaborate with senior Sales Business Development Engineering and Finance leaders to build financial plans analyze largescale investment opportunities develop new gotomarket strategies and identify opportunities for business growth. You will play key roles in both running the daytoday business and helping drive strategic growth for the future.
You are a wellrounded performer and will play an impactful role on the team. You demonstrate excellent business judgment and problem solving and possess strong attention to detail.
Key job responsibilities
Serve as a key finance partner to the Migration and Modernization team collaborating across executive leadership to analyze inputs and outputs assess business performance and optimize asset allocation.
Develop and evolve complex financial models that analyze program and portfoliolevel revenue profit and ROI impacts.
Build rhythm of the business processes that deliver ongoing insights and support daytoday decision making.
Engage and influence across the AWS Sales Finance and Operations hierarchy collaborating with stakeholders to optimize our customers experience achieve common goals and monitor risks.
Monitor compliance with controls and systems and develop new processes and controls as needed to support internal and external financial reporting requirements.
5 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science) or Bachelors degree and 5 years of quantitative role (engineering process reengineering quality assurance) experience
5 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
5 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience
MBA or CFA
Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
