Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3000 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Key job responsibilities As a System Development Engineer in the Bus S&Flight Operations team you will work with a wide variety of functional groups and will be involved in the design and implementation of software systems for the full cycle of provisioning of Satellites and ancillary as well as overall system integration: Develop tools for pre and post vehicle validation and testing Support software bringup debug of new hardware. Work closely with crossfunctional teams to design and implement optimized validation and verification software.

About the team Our team owns developing the architecture solutions & roadmap for managing the customer lifecycle for communications services; including identity and account management subscriber management services user provisioning billing and payments customer and technical support tools offer management tools and customer metrics and analytics.
BS or MS in electrical engineering computer engineering or computer science or equivalent experience 7 years of noninternship professional software development experience 5 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Experience with Java and Python or other scripting languages. Experience automating building and testing systems Experience with HW/SW bring up and debugging Experience working in a hardware lab
Solid fundamental CS / EE skill set with handson industry or university experience in embedded software development 5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
