Amazon Elastic Container Service is looking for an experienced leader to help us define product strategy for our container orchestration service and accelerate adoption of containers in the cloud. This role includes responsibility for ECS and Fargate our serverless container compute offering.
On the ECS team you get to develop features that impacts thousands of users and customers both internally and externally not many teams can say that! You will define product requirements gotomarket strategy and solve the needs of our customers. This role will require coordination across many internal and external teams and will be visible at the highest levels of the company. Youll work with our customers partners and operational stakeholders to prioritize roadmap features and lead the definition of new capabilities through welldocumented customer needs in PR/FAQs.
To be successful in this role you are motivated to take on challenging problems display good business judgment and demonstrate experience leading crossfunctional teams. We are looking for a proven ability to execute both strategically and effectively and someone who is excited to take on new ambiguous projects that will be industry defining. This position requires a solid technical background and you should be customerfocused with a passion for containers and cloud technology. Past experience in the containers and developer tools ecosystem is a plus but not required.
5 years of technical product management with internet business experience
5 years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience
3 years of technical (software development network development IT other related) experience
Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market
Experience delivering largescale SaaS PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle from concept through GTM (go to market)
Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing certification and livesite operations
Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies

The base salary for this position ranges from $135700/year up to $226500/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
