There are multiple vacancies located at Maryland State Police (MSP) Barracks across the State of Maryland. Please select only the county/counties (locations) for whichyou are willing to accept employment.
Duties include but arenot limited to:
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience:None.
Preferencewill be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information onyour application regarding your qualification(s).
1. In accordance withSection 2204(b)6 of the Public Safety Article candidates for position inthis classification will be subject to an initial drug screening and a completecriminal background investigation to include a polygraph examination beforepermanent appointment can be made. A criminal conviction may be grounds forrejection of the candidate.
2. Employees in thisclassification are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Codeof Maryland Regulations 17.04.09 Testing for Illegal Use of .
3. Employees in thisclassification will be required to provide the employing barrack with atelephone number where they can be reached.
4. Candidates for this classification may be given a medicalexamination to determine their ability to perform the duties of the jobclassification.
Only candidates who meetthe minimum qualifications will be considered for this it is essential that you provide complete and accurate informationon your application. Successful candidates will be placed on the Eligible Listcategorized as BEST QUALIFIED BETTER QUALIFIED or QUALIFIED and remaineligible for consideration for at least one year from the date of list will be used by the hiring manager to select employees. The list willbe valid for one year.
The examination willconsist of a rating of your education training and experience related to therequirements of the position. You may be required to complete a qualificationssupplement or the rating may be based on your application. Report allexperience and education that is related to this position.
