Position Summary
Department Information: The Department of Chemistry consists of a wellrounded research community with cuttingedge expertise in a wide variety of modern disciplines including analytical chemistry organic chemistry inorganic chemistry physical chemistry materials chemistry and biochemistry. Job Summary: The Trinidad Lab in the Department of Chemistry at Indiana University is taking applications for a postdoctoral research position. A key driver of our current research is an R01 funded program on the analysis of neuronal protein glycosylation and phosphorylation in both health and disease. The focus of this research is mass spectrometry based proteomic protein characterization with an emphasis on biochemical enrichment of PTM modified proteins tailored mass spectrometry data acquisition and subsequent interpretation of the data in a bioinformatic context. The positions also offer an opportunity to work collaboratively with a range of laboratories interested in such approaches as chemical crosslinking to map protein interactions large scale quantitative proteomics and mapping proteindrug interaction sites. We are particularly interested in candidates with interest and experience in largescale posttranslational proteomics metabolomics and/or glycomics. The successful applicants will play an integral role within our growing team of interdisciplinary scientists. The applicants will be expected to design and execute independent research using mass spectrometry to solve biological problems across multiple scales. For additional information visit:
