Job Description

Position Objective

The Director will be responsible for overseeing daily operations managing staff engaging with students and the community and ensuring that all training programs run smoothly and effectively. This role is pivotal in fostering a welcoming environment supporting community member success and building strong relationships with local businesses and community organizations. The position will report to CPTCs Vice President for Instruction and will coordinate closely with college deans the Director of Operations Student Success staff and key community organizations engaged in this partnership.

Duties and Tasks (Essential Functions)

Duty: Operational Management
Tasks include:

  • Oversee daytoday operations of the Eastside Training Center including scheduling staff for and partners for greeting and facilitation coordinating room reservations and managing other staffing responsibilities.
  • Manage site improvement and development projects for program and services expansion
  • Maintain Training Center hours including opening and closing posting notices and providing flexibility for partner hours and staffing.
  • Implement and maintain effective administrative processes and procedures.
  • Prepare and present operations reports to senior management and partner organizations.
Duty: Staff Supervision and Coordination
Tasks include:
  • Provide functional leadership and supervision to Training Center frontline staff in customer engagement and service delivery.
  • Train and orient all Training Center staff on essential functions shared partner resources workspaces policies expectations and practices for topquality customer service. Assist in coordinating allstaff meetings.
  • Support and coordinate staff and supervisors including college faculty staff administration and partner organizations to ensure effective processes and quality service delivery to the community.
  • Engage with team members to provide daytoday feedback regarding customer engagement.
  • Create and maintain staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all center activities and programs.
Duty: Student Engagement and Support
Tasks include:
  • Provide a welcoming and supportive environment for current and prospective students.
  • Educate and inform community members about training opportunities programs services and partner connections and resources.
  • Assist community members and students with inquiries registration and accessing resources or support services.
  • Support the development and implementation of orientation programs and student support initiatives.
  • Handle studentspecific case management and emergent situations using existing college resources or by coordinating partner resources.
Duty: Community and Stakeholder Engagement
Tasks include:
  • Create and maintain an uptodate list of Training Center partners and service providers including service offerings and referral processes.
  • Foster positive relationships with local businesses community organizations and the college community.
  • Educate Training Center partners and stakeholders about all of the services provided by the Center and the College including partners services.
  • Schedule plan and coordinate meetings with Training Center partners and facilitate new partner introductions to enhance services.
  • Represent all partners equally and promote the vision mission and goals of the College Center and Partners.
  • Form expand and coordinate committees to address Training Center needs and participate in regular college committees.
  • Represent the Training Center through presentations to the community and partners about services and opportunities.
  • Ensure Training Center policies are current reviewed annually and comply with federal state and local regulations.
Duty: Program Development and Implementation
Tasks include:
  • Maintain and provide training and technical assistance in developing implementing and overseeing the Training Centers standards procedures and protocols to ensure an exceptional customer experience for customers and partners.
  • Ensure the Training Center facilities and partner affiliate resources are welcoming and accessible using strong customercentric abilities.
  • Monitor student enrollments and other program effectiveness measures and participate in recommending strategy adjustments based on feedback and outcomes.
Duty: Financial Management
Tasks include:
  • Monitor and manage the Training Centers budget.
  • Forecast and monitor resource needs for center operations.
  • Identify costsaving opportunities and implement efficient practices to optimize resources.
Duty: Facility Management
Task include:
  • Ensure technology is functional and current and that equipment is maintained inventoried and secured.
  • Serve as an intermediary point of contact for partner facilities and shared assets.
  • Facilitate resolution of janitorial technology parking building security and safety matters related to universal access and resources.




Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial position preferably in a technical field or training environment.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated commitment to community service and development.
  • Ability to create and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
  • Experience with curriculum development and educational program management.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • A bachelors degree in a related field
  • Experience with community and regional employers is highly valued
  • Familiarity with skills training and technical education programs is an advantage.
