The new University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus will open in the Spring of 2025.This 469000 square foot facility will be home to UI Health Cares nationally recognized Orthopedics service line offering comprehensive coordinated and accessible care across the outpatient inpatient and surgical venues. These stateoftheart clinical facilities will also include a fullservice community imaging center laboratory services physical therapy retail pharmacy and emergency department as well as an array of support services.The facility has been designed to support a superior patient and staff experience; excellence across our patient care teaching and research missions; convenient access to services; and engaging community partnerships.UI Health Care is seeking a welcoming highly skilled and collaborative workforce to be a part of the opening team for this superb new campus and to help further our mission of:Changing Medicine. University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing is seeking a 90 100 Licensed Practical Nurseto work for the Orthopedic Clinic
Duties to include:
- Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
- Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
- In less complex situations may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.
- Performs patient care related to vital signs lab draws setting up and assisting with minor procedures inclinic treatments point of care testing and other duties as assigned.
- Provides psychological support to the patient and family based on assessed needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
*Please note Prior to the Medical Center North Liberty opening candidates will be expected to begin orientation on our Orthopedic Clinics at our Medical Center University Campus in Iowa City.

Percent of Time: 90 100
Hourly:$20.92 to commensurate
Schedule: Monday Friday during clinic hours
Location: Will be moving to the Medical Center North Liberty on or around April 2025.

- Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing or eligible for temporary work permit. Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification.
