Job Description

  • We seek a skilled 2nd Shift Maintenance Electrician to support daily production activities by installing diagnosing repairing and maintaining electrical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • The successful candidate will ensure all tasks are performed safely efficiently and accurately to uphold and improve plant performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Install diagnose and repair electrical systems apparatus and industrial machinery components.
  • Plan and install power supply wiring and conduit for machines including palletizers conveyors and programmable controllers.
  • Test and adjust electronic components and wiring ensuring equipment meets specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment for optimal efficiency.
  • Maintain and organize the maintenance area ensuring cleanliness and order.
  • Utilize maintenance systems to complete daily weekly and monthly duties.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely.
  • Document work order completion in maintenance systems.
  • Support predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Actively participate in plant initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Perform safety observations and support SQF 2000 Systems development.
  • Uphold Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2 4 years of maintenance electrician experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints electrical schematics and parts specifications.
  • Flexible with work hours including overtime weekends and holidays.
  • Comfortable working in fastpaced noisy environments with chemical exposure.
  • Strong communication attention to detail planning and organizational skills.
  • Selfmotivated and capable of working independently to meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly stand walk sit bend squat reach push/pull and handle objects.
  • Lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
  • Work in varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Reasonable accommodation can be made for individuals with disabilities.


High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience with HVAC/R systems, refrigeration and electrical systems Competent with computers including Google suites preferred Previous experience in a test or service technician role, preferably in a manufacturing or commercial environment preferred Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams Knowledge of Lean methodologies preferred Knowledge of test standards (ASTM, IEC, ISO, MIL-STD) preferred The schedule is Mon-Fri 7AM-3:30PM. This is a DIRECT HIRE position. The pay is dependent on experience.
