The Center for Civic Engagement is looking for a graphic design student worker to:
Create and design a variety of communication marketing and promotional items for civic engagement opportunities programming and events.
Create and design a variety of print and electronic graphics including brochures newsletters posters banners advertisements tshirts LCD screens email templates social media etc.
Assist with other unit projects as needed.
Attend events and fairs as a representative of CCE including tabling at fairs and open houses.
Additionally all student employees at CCE may be called upon periodically to help staff the CCE office and answer phones as needed.
Occasional inperson meetings participation/work at events on campus and/or staffing in the CCE office might be necessary as well.
The Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) is a unique department with responsibilities that support the missions of the Division of Student Affairs and the Division of Academic Affairs. The department is responsible for enacting Illinois States commitment to civic engagement and fostering a culture that values and rewards civic engagement. This is accomplished through various programs and services with students faculty and staff and in partnership with BloomingtonNormal community organizations. CCE organizes work around civic engagement including volunteering and servicelearning political engagement and civic education.

CCE is comprised of 7 professional staff 2 graduate assistants and several student workers interns or fellows. While each staff member has specific responsibilities the department operates as a team and therefore all staff are expected to support a variety of programs and services.

All student employees in the Center for Civic Engagement must have good academic and disciplinary standing to obtain employment.
Graphic design experience and skills
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite design software (i.e. Photoshop Illustrator)
Attention to detail
Perform tasks promptly and professionally
7 hours per week on average.
Must be able to complete the following with or without reasonable accommodations:
Remain at a workstation for extended periods.
Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete daytoday work.
Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
