You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Charles Stewart Mott Department of Public Health at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine Flint is seeking a Research Assistant III. The Department of Public Health focuses on population health. Our work emphasizes health disparities and health equity using community engaged research approaches. The Family Health History (FHH) Study led by Dr. Kent Key and Roses 1&11 HeAL and MIRACLE studies led by Dr. Jennifer Johnson offer a wide range of opportunity and skill development The Research Assistant III will support all aspects of research study implementation. Research activities may occur at the MSU Flint location and/or at local medical clinics or hospitals. Activities supported by the Research Assistant III may include:
*Recruit and consent study participants;
*Administer study assessments;
*Collect data collection via telephone and inperson interviews and questionnaires.
*Enter clean and manage data in an electronic database; and
*General administration duties including scheduling and purchasing and finance responsibilities.
The desired candidate will have a minimum of a Masters level degree in a specific field of research employment; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in research methodologies writing reports supervision software data interpretation and handling in area related to research being performed; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and may require special licensing or certification in the field related to the area of employment.
The Research Assistant III will work with a multidisciplinary research team and should performs all job duties and responsibilities in a courteous and customerfocused manner. The successful candidate will be a selfstarter have the ability to work collaboratively and to take direction and have strong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external partners. The candidate must be organized efficient responsive to feedback professional and trustworthy. Possess strong community engagement abilities. This is a fulltime position located in Flint Ml.
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired through completion of one or two years of postbachelor degree work such as a Masters in Public Health Research; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in research methodologies writing reports supervision software data interpretation and handling in area related to research being performed; or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
Preferably a PhD applicant with data analysis skills. Ideal candidate would have knowledge of how to navigate MSU systems.
