Looking for a senior Laborer opportunity at a place you can make a difference every day Discover this great opportunity in our Bremerton WA location.
Serco is looking for Shipyard Laborers to join a highprofile and challenging project supporting the US Navy. Shipyard Laborers will be on a dynamic team supporting our C5ISR system installations. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our Sailors.
You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco team members to deliver high technology performed onboard U.S. Naval Ships and military installations.
In this role you will:
- Performs general manual labor including loading unloading lifting and moving supplies and materials.
- Must perform duties as a fire watch and welders helper as well as install electric cable when needed.
- May require a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Have a High School diploma or GED.
- Willing to travel if needed up to 10.
- Ability to carry equipment and clean spaces.
- Ability to remove lagging and paint.
- Ability to follow all PPE protocols.
- Applicant must be willing to work second shift and willing to work more than 40 hours work weeks.
- This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Serco to staff it only with U.S. Citizens be able to obtain gain access to shipyards (NAVSTA & DBIDS) undergo a background investigation and pass a drug screening.
Additional desired experience and skills:
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Firewatch/Cable Installer Certification.
