Job Description

Selected applicants who have not held a similar role at the University of Iowa within the last 12 months may be eligible for a signon incentive of up to $5000.

The University of Iowa Health Care Department of Neurology is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist to work overnight shifts in the facilitybased sleep lab. This position will perform overnight sleep studies including both applying electrodes and sensors to patients in preparation for each study as well as monitoring and assisting patients throughout the night.

Job Duties to Include:
  • Providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep and arousal disorders including diagnostic testing and therapeutic interventions
  • Using critical thinking independent judgment and advanced knowledge of sleep technology sleep/wake disorders and associated comorbid conditions.
  • Coordinating and communicating with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Participating in teaching evaluating and advising students.
Pay Grade:32 of Time:90

  1. Completion of one of the below:
