ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT
WLHH is focused on providing a safe environment for victim survivors to consider a range of options for their future and to own their decisions. We are committed to seeking outcomes that recognise each victim survivor as an individual with particular needs.
The new role will work with Practice Lead Practice & Quality Manager and other staff members to establish appropriate Outreach Family Violence services in community setting to family violence support cocase management model. The role will also support and mentor the Family Violence Support Workers providing regular supervision and offering assistance to staff developing a holistic client centered approach to case management in conjunction with the Practice Lead. The role will work from 11.30am till 7.30pm Monday to Friday to enable contact with external services the family violence practitioner team and afterhours support worker team. The role will also hold a small number of outreach case management clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Leadership
Support and mentor Family Violence Support Workers who are rostered for evening sleep over and weekend shifts.
Provide regular reflective practice supervision to Family Violence Support Workers
Actively participate in performance appraisals
Identify and manage risks reporting all critical incidents immediately to Practice & Quality Manager or CEO
Identify implement and evaluate strategies for WLHH continuous improvement including services and systems processes and best practice within the outreach and afterhours programs.
To ensure the collection of monthly SHIP Data Collection and to upload information monthly to AIHW.
Identify individual and group staff training and ongoing professional development needs in collaboration with Practice Lead.
Represent WLHH at community engagements network meetings interagency visits etc.
Enable effective communication and operations within the team.
Remain up to date with relevant service delivery issues and bring to the attention of the leadership team.
Outreach clinics & Service Delivery
Develop a clear innovative model of outreach for WLHH to support victims and survivors of family violence with other service providers in relevant community setting
Develop and implement Family Violence cocase managed model .
Develop clear Memorandum of Understand (MOU) and colocation model guidelines to ensure best practice model is set up to support victim survivors through the outreach program.
Develop clear referral pathways to WLHH Family Violence Practitioners in collaboration with the Practice Lead.
Deliver intake complete risk assessment and safety planning in line with the MARAM framework and WLHH policies and procedures.
Provide support and information to victim survivors in areas of income housing cultural advocacy education health: including mental health AOD financial legal and other issues that may arise and make the appropriate referrals to external services and resources.
Acknowledge the special needs of child victim survivors and to work towards meeting those needs.
Work with all victim survivors in ways which uphold their rights dignity and empowerment.
Develop a case plan in consultation with the victim survivor and work effectively in collaboration on their plan to achieve goals within the agreed time frame.
Provide family violence information sharing and children information sharing with external services where it is needed and appropriate.
Facilitate group activities as needed.
Actively engage with continuous improvement opportunities maintaining a positive approach toward change.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with partner agencies key service providers and community networks and maximize information and resources for the support of victim survivors.
Demonstrate leadership enable development and maintain an effective staff team
Demonstrate accountability to coworkers clients and management.
Administration
Accurate and contemporaneous record keeping
Preparation of reports and other documents of a high professional standard
Attendance of meetings as directed including the Annual General Meeting
Ensure that day to day responsibilities to the funding body are maintained.
Office upkeep and administration tasks as required.
Professional Development
Participation in on going training and professional development.
Participation in formal supervision
Participation in biannual formal performance appraisals and any other appraisal systems as directed by the CEO.
Act in a professional manner on any performance feedback provided by the Chief Executive Officer or Practice & Quality Manager

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
A qualification or relevant experience in line with the mandatory minimum qualifications requirements for specialist family violence practitioners. * See below for more information
Excellent project management skills and minimum of five to seven years experience working at senior level role/team leader or managers role.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the issues surrounding family/domestic violence and a commitment to improving the safety of victim survivors in the community.
Expertise in risk assessment and safety planning inline with the MARAM framework and Child Safe Standards
Demonstrated knowledge of and personal commitment to gender equity and intersectional practice.
Demonstrated ability to be a collaborative team member who can take a positive leadership role and empower team members to achieve agreed outcomes and build and maintain a positive workplace culture.
Sound knowledge of crisis intervention and experience in case management practice using creative and flexible approaches to service delivery in accordance with the needs experiences resources and circumstances of each individual victim survivor coming to WLHH
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in applying trauma informed client centered and strengthsbased models when working with victim survivors
Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with a diverse range of people including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people people who are multilingual newly arrived and from migrant communities people with disabilities and members of the LGBTIQ community and demonstrated ability of cultural safety and inclusive practices
Knowledge of and an ability to access a range of relevant community resources particularly in the areas of parenting and childrens support health drug and alcohol legal income support and accommodation.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in providing holistic and sensitive support to people with ill mental health and or experiencing psychological distress.
Welldeveloped interpersonal communication advocacy and negotiation skills. The ability to prepare clear written reports maintain files and the capacity to represent the service at an agency and community level.
Demonstrated ability to work within a team and to contribute to agreed outcomes.
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
Commitment to continuing professional development and training.
Computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and database systems.

First Aid level 2 qualification
REMUNERATION
Remuneration is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience
Salary and conditions are as per the Social Community Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 Level 7

*Minimum mandatory qualification requirements
As per the minimum mandatory qualification requirements via all candidates wishing to apply for this role must be able to demonstrate that they:
are considered EXEMPT under the policy
OR
hold a Bachelor of Social Work or other equivalent qualification
OR
have a minimum 7 years relevant professional experience OR a related qualification as per the mandatory minimum qualification requirements.
hold significant cultural knowledge and experience or lived experience and have faced barriers to educational pathways.
