Job Description
The School of Computing and Engineering at Quinnipiac University seeks highly qualified applicants who are committed to excellence in teaching for parttime faculty openings in Cybersecurity for the Spring 2025 semester and beyond. The school is experiencing steady enrollment growth and is looking to staff graduatelevel lecture sections and also desires to develop and maintain a pool of candidates should additional parttime openings arise.
The current spring semester openings are in day and early evening onground sections (some flexibility regarding offering time and modality is possible) for a variety of introductory and intermediate courses. Responsibilities for the position include:
- Covering up to 9 credits of courses 12 credits may be possible under certain circumstances).
- Designing courses as needed. We have prior material but allow our instructors flexibility in presenting material in their own design and interest.
- Presenting material to students in an engaging interactive environment.
- Assessing student performance as appropriate throughout the semester.
- Holding regular office hours (generally 1 hour a week per 3 credits taught).
- Coordinating with other instructors for courses with multiple sections and/or labs.
- For some courses retaining material for course assessment and accreditation purposes.
- For Cybersecurity Curriculum teach courses including: penetration testing identity and access management data security system resilience cloud security and software security. Experience with commercial software tools is a plus.

Requirements:
- A minimum of a Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred although consideration will be given to excellent candidates who possess practical experience or professional licensure.
- While prior teaching experience is preferred we also welcome applicants interested in adding teaching experience to their portfolio.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds.
