The Division of Communication and Information handles both internal and external communication for the Department of Public Instruction and the State Board of Education. Its responsibilities include media relations messaging and branding as well as content development for publications news outlets social media and the agencys website. The division also manages public records requests publication sales graphic design and printing/duplicating services. Additionally it coordinates both facetoface and virtual public outreach ensures the maintenance and improvement of the agencys public website and intranet sets and implements communication policies and oversees the agencys email distribution.
This position is responsible for maintaining organizing and creating content for the agencys website and intranet. The Web Specialist ensures digital platforms are functional uptodate and optimized for accessibility while enhancing the user experience and streamlining digital communication.
Additionally the Web Specialist helps implement communication policies manages the email distribution system and ensures continuous improvement of the agencys online platforms.

Bachelors degree in web development digital media web graphic design computer programming or related curriculum from an appropriately accredited institution and one and a half years in web development/programming design or application development; or Associate degree in web development digital media web graphic design computer programming or related curriculum and two years of experience in web development/programming design or application development; or High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and five and a half years in web development/programming design or application development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
