You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Structural Engineer V performs difficult professional structural engineering work in supervising and participating in the design and construction of various public works construction projects; prepares and supervises the preparation and/or review of structural designs plans specifications estimates and reports; and performs other duties as required.
Current Vacancy Information:
There is one 1 vacancy with the Department of Planning and Permitting Building Division located in Honolulu. As the Research Staff in the Building Division performs professional engineering work under the general direction of the Chief of Building Safety in conjunction with the administration and enforcement of the codes by the Building Division in the study and evaluation of plans codes and materials and methods to be used under the codes. Supervises the work of structural engineers and others assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from a regionallyaccredited four year college or university with a bachelors degree in an engineering specialty.
Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionallyaccredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program evidence of comparability or an original transcript.
