Are you ready to pursue some of the hardest scalability performance and distributed computing challenges in AWS Our teams vision is to create a Partnercentric billing experiences that will minimize the billing operational overhead for Partners and help them focus on providing value added services to their endcustomers and growing their business. Because we sit at the nexus of all AWS services and interact directly with endcustomers we build relationships with teams across AWS to ensure that we offer a secure and reliable customer experience. We take inputs from these services and merge them with the millions of events every second to produce actionable insight to our customers.
Providing a scalable platform to support AWS expanding business is a complex architectural challenge and accurate cost and usage information is a critical piece. Enterpriselevel customers make large dollarvalue decisions based on the timeliness accuracy and detail of the data provided by our products.
You will take on architectural challenges in making billions of usage records available for various customers and their use cases. You will be empowered to think big invent on behalf of our customers make judgment calls and find elegant solutions to hard problems. The AWS Billing Conductor is changing fast and this is a dynamic role where you will both learn and grow while you contribute to our success.
Key job responsibilities
Collaborate in the design implementation and deployment of successful internetscale systems and services in support of our commerce operations and the businesses they support.
Help define our secure scalable distributed and eventdriven systems.
Work with extraordinary teams delivering demanding projects.
Functionally decompose complex problems into simple straightforward solutions.
Understand system interdependencies and limitations.
Share your knowledge of the most effective performance scalability architecture and engineering patterns and methods.
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary for this position ranges from $114800/year up to $191800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
