Position Details:

The Opportunity:

Utilize diverse knowledge base for many needs within an animal care facility with an emphasis on cleaning and maintenance. Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing animal treatment and holding areas and observing animals for sickness or abnormalities. Stocking supplies collecting processing and distributing laundry collection disposal of trash and biohazardous waste. Minor equipment repair and other miscellaneous tasks as needed.

Leading and assisting the AMshift hourly employees. Work hours 5:00am 1:30pm MondayFriday.

The tasks are focused on cleaning and maintenance of the small animal hospital facilities and may include cleaning and sanitizing animal treatment and holding areas; collection processing and distribution of laundry; disposal of trash and biohazardous waste; and stocking items throughout the hospital. There is some need for moving animals between cages in order to clean/sanitize but that is a very small part of the assigned duties.

Additional Information:

This is a full time 100 FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.

Monthly Salary:

$3028.00 to $3999.00 Range 34 (Step A M) Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 35728.

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.
