Job Description
ABOUT US:
BEHAVIORAL ASSESSMENT:

ESTIMATING & PRECONSTRUCTION (Weighting 40
Cost analysis
- Estimate materials equipment and labor costs.
- Gather quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assess project risks and provide recommendations
- Prepare and submit detailed project quotation and bids.
- Analyze project drawings specifications and scope of work to develop accurate cost estimates.
- Demonstrate the ability to read and understand contracts construction documents plans and specifications.
- Provide detailed estimates based on conceptual document as well as schematic design development and construction documents.
- Review documents to identify project bid requirements scope of work scheduling impacts nonstandard work conditions material and equipment data safety and compliance requirements risk management and other special considerations.
- Participate in prebid meetings bid strategy discussions and postconstruction evaluations
Proposal Development
- Preparing and submitting quotations for work.
- Helping with bids for new contracts.
- Participates in prebid meetings bid strategy meetings and postconstruction meetings.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT SUPPORT (Weighting 40
- Oversee projects from start to finish ensuring alignment with budget and schedules.
- Assist in preparing project schedules procurement plans and resource allocations.
- Monitor project progress to ensure costs remain in line with forecasts.
- Coordinate scheduling to ensure material is ordered and delivered at the required dates.
- Track and manage project submittals RFIs and change orders.
- Ensure all projects adhere to safety and quality standards.
Cost Management
- Track and control all project costs including labor materials and subcontractors.
- Monitor and report project progress against cost projections.
- Provide monthly project billing requirements to administration.
- Coordinate the submission of all closeout documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 to 3 years of experience in HVAC/Refrigeration estimating for plan and specification as well as designbuild projects.
- Strong understanding of construction and HVAC/R processes.
- Ability to perform in a collaborative teambased environment.
- Highly organized selfmotivated and dependable with the drive to succeed in a fastpaced setting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings contracts and construction documents.
- Experience in AutoCAD and drafting software is an asset.
- Strong analytical organizational and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid Alberta drivers license with a satisfactory driving record.
