Job Summary:
Join the Office of Outreach and Student Recruitment as a Graphic Designer (Outreach and Student Recruitment Federal Work Study Student Assistant)! This position offers an exciting opportunity to use your creative talents while contributing to the success of future CSUSB Coyotes. You will play a key role in visually communicating our programs events and resources to prospective students and their families ensuring a positive and engaging experience as they navigate their journey to becoming part of the CSUSB community.

The Office of Outreach and Student Recruitment serves as a central hub for prospective students providing information about visiting our campus applying for admission and taking the next steps toward enrollment. Our team including Coyote Ambassadors and dedicated staff creates lasting impressions and fosters connections that highlight the unique opportunities CSUSB has to offer.
Position Description:
As a Graphic Designer Student Assistant under immediate supervision you will:
Design and Create Basic Materials: Develop digital and print resources including event promotions office materials and social media content using your expertise in design software and creativity to solve visual communication challenges.
Collaborate and Innovate: Work independently or as part of a team following project guidelines while bringing fresh ideas and creative interpretations to enhance outreach efforts.
Social Media: Curate schedule and monitor social media content to engage prospective students and their families effectively.
Administrative Support: Perform tasks such as data entry circulating print materials managing walkin traffic taking phone messages and other duties as assigned.
Lead by Example: Serve as a role model for other student assistants and provide guidance to fellow graphic designers.

Compensation and Benefits:
Student Employment Anticipated Hiring Range: $16.00 per hour.
The compensation offered will consider internal equity and experience among other factors.
Position Information:
Work status: PartTime Temporary Seasonal
Academic year available hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 am 5:00 pm).
Summer available hours: Monday through Thursday 7:00 am 5:30 pm).
This is an OnCampus Only position. Student Employees are not eligible to telecommute at any time.

Conditions of Employment
Background Check
Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) may be required for student employment purposes. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check when required may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
Drivers License Check
Possession of a valid Drivers License may be required. Employees in this position will be enrolled in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Government Employer Pull Notice Program which confirms possession of a valid drivers license and reflects driving record.
