Job Description
The School of Nursing Graduate Nursing Program at Austin Peay State University APSU invites applications for the position to coordinate activities of the Psychiatric Mental Health Medication Management Clinic and Clinical Assistant Professor. This is a 9month nontenure track 3year renewable position with expectation of summer clinic work with an accompanied stipend. The Psychiatric Mental Health Medication Management Clinic provides essential mental health services to APSU students faculty staff and the broader community. The position will oversee clinic operations see patients for psychiatric medication management precept graduate nursing students and teach up to six credit hours of clinically based graduate nursing courses in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner PMHNP program during the fall spring and summer semesters. This dual role combines administrative leadership with academic responsibilities offering a unique opportunity to contribute to student education directly engage in patient care and promote community health. This role requires ensuring that the clinic complies with state and federal laws professional standards and TN Board of Nursing requirements. It also involves providing highquality care to patients as a nurse practitioner while guaranteeing that all psychological services delivered to the public are supervised by a licensed physician. Additionally this position will play a key role in planning developing and maintaining comprehensive services that align with the mission of the School of Nursing. The School of Nursing has both undergraduate and graduate programs. At the undergraduate level the School features a robust prelicensure BSN program as well as an RN BSN track. The graduate program offers a Master of Science in Nursing MSN )with three concentrations: Family Nurse Practitioner FNP Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner PMHNP and Nurse Educator. All programs are fully approved by the Tennessee Board of Nursing and accredited by national accrediting bodies ensuring students receive the highest quality education.
