Job Description

As one of our Shop Managerswill be supported by experienced and knowledgeable team members and you will be able to develop and build strong relationships with customers and volunteers.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic creative and motivated individual to join the team asStore Managerbased at our very successful Fishponds store.

The details:

  • Working hours: 37.5hours per week 5days in 7
  • Salary starting from 26279 up to 28429 per annum dependent on experience
  • Permanent position

Key responsibilities:

  • Delivering consistently high retail and customer service standards
  • Actively supporting and demonstrating our values through your role
  • Leading coaching and managing staff and volunteers
  • To achieve and optimise sales and targets
  • To create and maintain a positive working environment for staff and volunteers
  • Promotion of diversity and gender rights

What we are looking for:

  • Ideally you will bring previous retail experience gained at managerial / supervisory level
  • Commercial awareness and demonstrable experience of managing and leading a team; delivering outstanding customer service would be equally advantageous
  • A genuine interest in fashion and charity retail
  • Ability to earn trust motivate build rapport and provide leadership
  • High levels of organisation with a proactive approach
  • Open and adaptable to change and able to support others through it
  • IT literacy and numeracy skills. Using email systems and online resources; use and understand basic spreadsheet.

St Peters Hospice is a wellloved hospice that provides extensive inpatient and community services in Bristol and the surrounding areas. Every year St Peters Hospice makes a difference in the lives of thousands of patients and their families when it matters most.

Many of our staff work directly with patients and their families in nursing health care and medical jobs. Others raise money to support patient care through our chain of over 40 charity shops and our fundraising activities. We also have a significant number of staff working in varied officebased roles.

Our aim is to provide an inclusive safe and healthy workplace that boosts creativity and motivation.

Our Inpatient Unit is a stateoftheart centre of clinical excellence that was built with the generous support of the people of Bristol. Beyond our Inpatient Unit youll find our team in homes and on the phone 24/7. More recently in response to the pandemic we have moved some services online to continue support for our patients.

The Hospice is also a centre of educational excellence and we teach other healthcare professionals about how to care for people at the end of their lives supporting the NHS and care homes provide end of life care.
