Job Description
Lighthouse Lab Services is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Lab Scientist to join a dynamic team in the Richmond CA area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to public health through meticulous laboratory testing and analysis. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in LCMS Chemistry OR Molecular testing and hold an active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license or CGMBS.
Responsibilities:
- Perform complex chemical analyses on biological samples with precision and accuracy.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment ensuring all are calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Interpret and report test results in a timely manner adhering to established protocols and quality control standards.
- Participate in the development and validation of new testing procedures and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety protocols standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other laboratory personnel and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care and test accuracy.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior laboratory staff as needed.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of laboratory activities and findings.
Qualifications:
- Active and valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license or CGMBS is required.
- Bachelors degree in Clinical Laboratory Science Chemistry or a related field.
- Proven experience in Mass Spec Chemistry OR Molecular testing within a clinical laboratory setting.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent problemsolving abilities and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
Shift & Benefits:
- DAY shift (MondayFriday)
- $55$65/hr based on experience level
- Opportunity to transition to a permanent position after the completion of the 1year contract.
