Job Description
Overview
JPW Structural Contracting located in Syracuse NY is currently seeking aRigger to join their team!
Assemble disassemble and move heavy equipment & bulky objects by selecting and using the various rigging hardware such as ropes slings shackles clamps chain falls and comealongs in a correct and safe manner.
Responsibilities
Skill Requirements
- Experience with heavy equipment and material moving
- Indepth knowledge of rigging equipment
- Excellent spatial awareness
- Good communication skills
- OSHA 10
- 3 years working as a rigger
Physical Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must pass a preemployment drug test and be subject to random testing during course of employment.
- Possess the coordination physical strength and agility to complete required tasks within the allotted time frame.
- Able to quickly and repeatedly bend stretch twist or reach out with body arms and/or legs without restriction.
- Acceptable visual acuity either corrected or uncorrected.
- Able to work at heights and in extreme temperatures and moderately inclement weather

Qualifications
- 3 years experience in welding
- Familiarity with welding tools and procedures
- Basic knowledge and understanding of layout
- Familiarity with reading and understanding blueprints
- Ability to handle physical workload
