Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:

• Must be enrolled at UA Little Rock
• Experience working with children

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

• Experience teaching reading

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in onboarding session and training sessions
• Conduct individualized 30minute tutoring sessions for 46 students utilizing Really Great Readings lessons
• Flexibility to schedule makeup sessions to accommodate student absences
• Log attendance and keep thorough session notes
• Administer student pre and post assessments
• Attend preemployment information session to complete paperwork

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Must pass background checks including child maltreatment
• Must have access to a personal laptop or tablet for use during tutoring sessions
• Must have access to reliable transportation (workstudy located offcampus)
• The ability to work 68 hours per week for 11 weeks plus training and onboarding
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to work well in a group setting
• Effective time management skills
• Responsiveness openmindedness and selfconfidence
• The ability to teach material in an easytounderstand way
