JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Residence Life is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to join the South/Pollock Area office as an Administrative Support Assistanttoserve as the first point of contact in person and via phone for the area office. This job will report to an Office Manager and assist with providing administrative support to one Associate Director up to three Assistant Director and up to twelve Coordinators.
The successful candidatewill be responsible for the following:
Serve as the primary point of contact in person and via phone in the area office
Answer telephones greet visitors and take messages
Schedule appointments and make appropriate referrals to other offices
Open sort and distribute mail and post notices
Create an area oncall schedule for professional and paraprofessional staff and distribute it on a routine basis to various University offices
Assist in maintaining staff calendars
Post confidential information to the student conduct database and refer to the Office of Student Conduct as appropriate maintain Incident Report log assist in maintaining student files and records type related documents
Process room reservation requests and forward them for signatures
Inventory and order office supplies prepare paperwork for special purchases and assist staff with budgetary needs
Assist in special project work and run office errands.
Demonstrate a commitment to the development of a community where diversity and sustainability are valued
Education and Experience Requirments
This position requiresa High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher
This is an 83.3 fulltime equivalency (FTE) job. Months off are mid to late May through mid to late July. Full Penn State benefits are included.

The salary range for this position including all possible grades is:
$34800.00 $50500.00Salary Structure additional information on Penn States job and salary structure.
