Description


Responsible for creating evaluating and modifying prototypes to support evolving hardware and software application development.

As a member of the User Experience team you will develop and apply software design/usability processes in the investigation of technical problems. May develop user profiles with emphasis on human error control display issues visual interaction physical manipulation and task and objective analyses. Provide product usability evaluation and support to product development teams including the analysis and investigation of applications/systems including tactile methods visual graphics web multimedia voice response and conversational user interaction. May assist in developing design concept and implementation providing input on user design considerations. May produce specifications describing user needs and internal structures for product in development.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically eight or more years of software engineering or related experience needed.

Position Title:Principal/Sr. Principal Product Designer Fintech & ERPM

Summary: Oracles ERPM product team is searching for a Principal or Sr. Principal Product Designer to lead projects and teams for Oracle Cloud Finance and ERPM Applications. This includes Expenses Invoices General Ledger Planning & Project Management and more. Responsibilities range from the design of features and enhancements as part of incremental product improvement to completely reimagining our products as part of our Next Generation product strategy and vision projects. Were fusing amazing Design and UX with cuttingedge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning Conversational UI Augmented Reality and more to invent the future of work.

You have what it takes to help shape the design org and present to leadership our design agenda. Youll work on crossstudio and crossbusiness initiatives including building and shaping our design practice and studio culture creating our processes selecting tools and techniques feeding into the branded lookandfeel of our product UI and generally making our design agenda a success.

Weve built a great relationship and partnership with Product and Engineering and you can help make it better while defining the product vision requirements and success criteria.

Weve got great building blocks to build off of and you can help us contribute back to our growing design system.

Were continually evolving how we do cries and youll uplevel how your project teams critique better.

Identify and get to know your users through interviews and observations. Uncover needs perceptions context thinking feeling and behaviors that will yield important insights and opportunities to delight.

Through the clarity of purpose and shape of data create user needs and experience frameworks measure and model user behavior and find areas for improvement.

Lead the design thought leadership for AI ML and Automation leveraging technologies like artificial intelligence machine learning chat voice web mobile and more.

Create information architecture process flows wireframes and visual design mockups as needed to conceptualize and communicate intended user experiences.

Present design work to the user experience design team product team executive leadership and project stakeholders for review and feedback.

Collaborate with design technologists to create sophisticated prototypes to bring your designs to life and share them with stakeholders.

Test your solutions often with users to get qualitative and quantitative feedback.

Work with platform engineering to create design components patterns and layouts.

Develop and deliver detailed userinterface specifications for the final product release.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 8 years of experience in Consumer and/or Enterprise product design.
• Track record of designing building and shipping digital software products.
• Bachelors degree in Design or equivalent practical experience.
• Portfolio of product designfocused work samples for web and mobile applications.
• Youre proficient in industrystandard design tools and practices: Figma Adobe prototyping design thinking and research.
• You love working as a player and a coach to contribute to and lead the team.
• You strive to design and innovate at the intersections of desirability feasibility and viability.
• You get stuff done.

Preferred Qualifications

• Youre a fullstack product designer.
• Youre an expert at driving a usercentered product design process.
• You make the people around you better.
• Youve worked on Finance Fintech and/or Planning and Management applications (but this is not mandatory).
• Youre a fantastic compelling storyteller.
• You dont already know everything you love to learn and youre inspired by helping users solve their problems.
• You may even have experience managing or leading design teams (not required).
• You possess excellent problemsolving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to design for iOS Android PWAs and platforms such as desktop Teams Slack and others.
