The Frederick MD location is a critical part of Thermo Fishers organization providing support for up to 5 Business Groups and multiple Divisions from distribution to Life Sciences and Corporate support. We are a leading provider of innovative products and services!

Shift Information

2nd Shift/Afternoons

Monday Friday 2:00pm10:30pm

How Will You Make an Impact:

The Manufacturing Operator plays an integral part of operations as a member of one of our manufacturing department teams to ensure lifesaving products are created handled and delivered safely on time and with the highest quality standards.

A Day in the Life:

  • Work within a manufacturing environment both individually and within a team to ensure customers receive a product that exceeds quality specifications.
  • Communicate with several work groups to ensure the completion of daily production.
  • Work in both standard and clean room environments while adhering to areaspecific PPE requirements.
  • Safely operate manual and automated filling equipment.
  • Safely operate pallet jacks.
  • Handle and process materials that are in temperature sensitive conditions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • May be required to safely operate a 26 foot box truck and transit vehicle.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing operations production lab setting or related field
  • Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment

Knowledge Skills Abilities:

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the metric system and ability to perform conversions.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and cGMPs. problems collect data establish facts and draw conclusions from identifying errors

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Ability to lift 2550 pounds.
  • Able to work in normal to extreme conditions: Ambient Cold Room 28F) Freezer 20F) and Ultra Cold 80F).

  • Competitive Hourly Pay Rate starting at $21/hr
  • Additional shift differential for 2nd shift and 3rd shift positions

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $16.78$25.16.
