The Role: Architect Software Engineer Java

The Team and Impact: This position is accountable for shaping and driving the Architectures used within the development organization as well as defining new and innovative strategic architecture Architect Software Engineer is responsible for strategic technology roadmap maintenance developing innovative designs for teams to execute adopting new platform strategies to benefit the organization and organizing and motivating technical architects and technical leads to build and deliver scalable and sound solutions to meet the current and future product roadmaps.

Responsibilities:

  • Translates strategy into action via PKRs and departmental strategy.
  • Engages with key stakeholders in developing future technology roadmaps and innovation patterns.
  • Owns and structures the technical architecture domain and technology life cycle process across the HoldAssessTrialAdoptRetire stages
  • Mentors and grooms next level of technical leadership within the teams.
  • Responsible for the creation monitoring and improvement of all ISO processes that fall within the domain.
  • Interacts with all levels of the sales organizationand business owners.
  • Promoting Continuous Delivery and DevOps capabilities
  • Collaborates with Information Security teams on all cloud initiatives to continually improve the security posture
  • Provides transparency through welldefined metrics automation and reporting
  • Defines the architectures required to implement large complex crossfunctional projects transitioning into cloud

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree inComputer science with at least 9 years of experience as a Java architect and/or Java technical lead and system development implementations.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a leader of teams responsible for architecting and designing solutions for teams.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple industry software development methodologies includingAgileRUPand Waterfall at a minimum
  • Expertise in AWS could native application development
  • Subject matter expertise with federated authentication/authorization systems SAML JWT OAuth2 etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of Agile development methodologies and endtoend software development lifecycle.
  • Expertise in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) APIcentric architecture ObjectOriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) principles.
  • Expertise in creating architectural diagrams and user flows in modeling software like Visio or Lucid Chart.

Location: Southfield Michigan (Hybrid)

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $100000 $150000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individuals geographic location as well as experience level skill set training licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
