The AWS Builder Tools Software Assurance and Curation org is looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to help us in our mission to make developers focus on coding and making their life easier with an automated software patching support. As a Sr. TPM you will own the strategy for open source/third party software usage and upgrades in Amazon. You will work on projects like below:
Provide a safe and easy way to perform software upgrade at scale for Amazon developers.
Devise the short term program plans and long term strategy for third party software upgrades across Amazon partnering with open source community and language/subject experts inside Amazon.
As a TPM you will:
Be a missioncritical member of the leadership team unify distributed engineering efforts and own the plan to deliver highprofile new tools and features for developers that build AWS and Amazon.
Lead strategic initiatives across many Amazon teams that will provide developers with highimpact improvements.
Draw on your knowledge of software development to hold a high standard of excellence for the developer experience.
Drive technical requirements design and delivery planning working across engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure successful launch of initiatives.
Enable transparency and decisionmaking across AWS executive leadership by providing critical communication and clear status of the initiatives you own.
Apply your expertise problem solving skills and creativity to add value and diversity of thought to our team.
The Senior TPM role requires excellent leadership skills strong technical expertise and handson project management skills. The right candidate will be adept at writing technical specifications owning program schedules from design to release and partnering effectively with other teams across Amazon.

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations from foundational services such as Amazons Simple Storage Service (S3 and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2 to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWSs services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization youll support the development and management of Compute Database Storage Internet of Things (Iot) Platform and Productivity Apps services in AWS including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
