The Mechatronics and Sustainable Packaging Experiences software team is seeking technically skilled and curious engineers to join our diverse fullstack team. As an SDE you will be responsible for designing developing testing and deploying intelligent packaging deterministic workflows LLM/ML powered platforms and largescale solutions for our worldwide customer base. You will collaborate closely with a crossfunctional team of product leaders principals and ML scientists to influence our overall packaging roadmap to support Climate Pledge and Sustainability goals reduce waste and cost and help define our technical strategy. You will also drive the system architecture spearhead best practices that enable quality and help coach and develop junior engineers. A successful candidate will have an established background in engineering large scale software systems strong technical ability great communication skills and a motivation to achieve results in a fastpaced environment.
In addition to holistically designing building and delivering endtoend software systems our team is responsible for core infrastructure production services and tools that serve as the backbone of our packaging engines and applications that support packaging test labs Fulfillment Centers and field personnel.
Key job responsibilities We are seeking a software engineer to be part of our team to build Packaging Technology Workflows and Optimization with Machine Learning (ML) on a global scale own their systems end to end and influence the direction of technology used by all Amazon Fulfillment and Packaging services around the world. In this role you will have the opportunity to drive mission critical projects work with senior and principal engineers and lead team members.
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience 2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
