School of Health in Social Sciences at the University of Edinburgh is inviting applications for a Research Fellow position to join our established Scottish Collaboration for Public Health Research and Policy (SCPHRP; SCPHRPs vision is to develop Scotland as a leader in publichealth intervention research for equitable health improvement through catalysing strong researcher/researchuser collaborations that ensure timely robust policy relevant research that is created with and used by key decisionmakers.
This post is fulltime 35 hours per week); however we are open to considering parttime or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a noncontractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular oncampus working.
The Opportunity:
Digital health services are increasingly being proposed to address the health needs of those living in remote and rural areas of the UK. However these areas often also have poorer quality internet connections expanding existing health inequalities. We are recruiting a postdoctoral research fellow to join a recently funded project seeking to understand the work arounds people and charities in remote and rural areas have developed in order to engage with digital health services. Within the project the successful applicant will be employing both qualitative and systems methods.
