Fantastic FullTimeNeonatal Intensive CareOpportunity for Physician Assistant and/or Nurse Practitioner
We seek an experienced Pediatric PA or NP to join a group of seasoned PAs for a fulltime position with Alliance Medical Group at Waterbury Hospital working in the Special Care Nursery and Newborn nursery is managed by neonatology attendings from the Yale Medical Group who are stationed at Waterbury Hospital with 24/7 365 days of coverage per year.
Fulltime position with three other advanced practitioners within the department. Shifts are 24 hours (or 12 hours) and are rotating including nights weekends & holidays.
Primary responsibilities will be:
A candidate should be comfortable with the following procedures:
Coverage of a level III 8bed NICU and well nursery. Attendance of highrisk deliveries and csections with resuscitation and stabilization of the newborn as needed. Should feel comfortable being the sole provider inhouse with physician back up from home.
Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Certified Physician Assistant with prior experience working in a NICU. Candidature should hold a current unrestricted license in CT with a DEA license. NRPtraining PALS certification a plus.
Ability to evaluate analyze medical histories perform physical exams order and interpret diagnostic lab tests and xrays. Experience in UVC/UAC placement intubation venous access and arterial draws required.
