What youll be doing (Key Accountabilities)
- Oversee the delivery of highquality NDISfunded services for 42 participants across 7 homes ensuring compliance with Melbas policies procedures and relevant legislation.
- Lead and supervise 7 Outcomes Leads and their teams including performance management monthly supervision and annual appraisals.
- Manage Community Living budgets develop and review NDIS SIL quotes and ensure staff rosters align with approved funding.
- Drive personcentred planning and support documentation to meet participant NDIS goals including attendance at plan reviews.
- Foster strong transparent relationships with families external professionals stakeholders and government bodies.
- Implement and monitor quality systems ensuring accreditation compliance and timely responses to Community Visitor reports.
- Manage operational needs such as service vacancies property maintenance HR and industrial matters and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
Your Background (Skills & Attributes)
- Ability to effectively coordinate teams of staff to provide innovative and progressive service delivery models.
- Experience in supporting people with a disability and their families.
- Ability to advocate on behalf of people with intellectual disabilities.
- Experience in working effectively with people who have complex communication needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to form effective working relationships with colleagues management and external bodies.
- Leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of the NDIS including its principles processes and impact on participants
Requirements - An understanding of both physical and intellectual disabilities and other complex presentations.
- An understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Person Centred Active Support (PCAS) and personcentred practice.
- A track record of effectively leading teams of staff to perform their roles to a high standard.
- Demonstrated understanding of and a commitment to the values and goals of the organisation.
- Excellent service delivery skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to service excellence human rights and zero tolerance.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative management skills.
- High level written and verbal communication/presentation skills.
- High level organisational and time management skills including a proven ability to prioritise meet deadlines and work autonomously.
- Work in a team that collectively aspire to have our workforce reflect the diversity of the community.
- Excellent problemsolving ability.
- Ability to be selfdirected and selfmotivated.
- NDIS Working Screening Check Clearance
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Current Australian drivers licence.
- Current Working with Childrens Check
- Relevant qualification in disability or related services (advanced diploma in community services and or equivalent).
