IDS International is looking for a parttime Armed Security Guard to support our contract overseeing the Truman Presidential Library in Independence Missouri and will report to our Program Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high level of visibility at all times and surveil visitors in the Library and Museum for suspicious activities.
- Patrol the interior and exterior of the facility as well as monitor a closedcircuit television feed to prevent unauthorized access and limit other incidents.
- Secure and monitor access points during hours of operation search bags as needed and monitor visitors throughout the facility.
- Guards will register guests into the research room and ensure rules and protocols are followed.
- When required detain violators and prepare detailed incident reports.
- Attend and provide security during special events and VIP visits involving high profile government officials.
- availability to work FridaySunday Shifts
Required Qualifications:
- Be a citizen of the United States AND be at least 21 years of age
- Have the ability to pass all preemployment physicals and testing as the job requires standing for extended periods of time
- Received a minimum high school diploma or GED
- Three years of military security or law enforcement experience within the last 5 years
- Applicants should be proficient with firearms and pass a firearms qualification course
- Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight typically less than 20 pounds but may vary depending on the position. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
