Job Description

The Assistant Mgr Engagement (AME) reports to the Leader Group Engagement and provides leadership to the engagement team members in the market area of the Advisor Group or Distribution Channel they serve in.

The role is a player/coach that leads and models the engagement work in the specific market it serves. The AME develops the engagement professionals who provide local leadership planning and of community and business development through:

Thrivents Community Impact programs and engagement activities in partnership with Thrivent Financial advisors field leaders and Thrivent Member Networks
Strategic relationship development with local organizations
Community growth and development efforts with local field leaders.

Ideal candidate would be located in Phoenix/Scottsdale area Las Vegas or California.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides leadership to align their engagement team members to deliver on three primary areas: Drive Impact Deliver Value to Clients and Grow Sales. Develops Engagement Leaders and/or Engagement Specialists to deliver outcomes in alignment with Thrivents strategic priorities and the Advisor Group growth plan.
  • Builds a Membership engagement plan for the market area in collaboration with the Leader Group Engagement and other enterprise partners. This plan aligns to the growth plans of the Advisor Group and the plans for community impact client engagement and growth of the Thrivent Member Network.

  • Provides leadership to a strategic initiative within the engagement plan of the Advisor Group such as new or experienced advisor support or the approach to strategic partnerships to bring consistency to the work of the engagement team within the Advisor Group.

  • Provides leadership to the business functions of the market area they serve to appropriately integrate the engagement team. Examples include leadership team meetings community partnerships and Advisor Group meetings.

  • Holds a staff role with the TMN (Thrivent Member Network) board. In time they may serve as President of the Thrivent Member Network once they have demonstrated success in the role.

  • Models excellence in engagement work to deliver community impact through Thrivent programs build new relationships that lead to growth of Thrivent and deepen the engagement of current clients in the market area they serve.

  • Provides leadership to support Membership and Engagement investments in key growth markets supports Thrivent strategic priorities by engaging community partnerships with church and nonprofit organizations and supports advisors with Membership programs and TMN and engagement activities.

  • Fosters alignment between Engagement Leaders and Marketing team to ensure advisor engagement and marketing plans are high quality and lead to improved client engagement and growth for the advisor.

  • Recruits develops and sustains a highperforming team while promoting a culture of shared accountability operational excellence and partnership across the organization.

  • Models Thrivents leadership competencies Model the Way Rally the Team and Deliver Outcomes.

  • Supports and/or develops an environment in which Thrivent employees and colleagues are focused on continuous improvement exceptional employee engagement and an unwavering commitment to our clients. Shapes and/or supports a culture that represents the Thrivent purpose promise and values ensuring that Thrivents trust and reputation remain strong with its clients.

  • Budget accountability of approximately $500000

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Required:

  • Bachelors degree or commensurate experience

  • Experience with leading remote teams effectively

  • Experience developing talent and coaching for performance.

  • Experience with community impact

  • Ability to facilitate meetings and deliver presentations effectively

  • Demonstrated ability to build activate and leverage networks

  • Must be present 23 days per week within market area the position serves in the Advisor Group

  • Ability to travel up to 50 and flex schedule to work evenings/weekends occasionally

  • Must have proper home office environment to conduct remote work. This includes suitable highspeed internet to conduct the business of the role.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of the financial services industry

  • Experience with Salesforce or equivalent CRM and Microsoft suite (Word Excel Power point and Teams)

  • Experience in an engagement role which led to achieving business outcomes

  • Highly connected to the Christian community in the market area served

  • Delegation influence and collaboration skills

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this fulltime role is $88132.00 $119236.00 per year which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to location relevant experience skills and knowledge business needs market demand and other factors Thrivent deems important.
