Duties And Responsibilities
The duties below are representative of the duties of the classification and are not intended to cover all of the duties performed by the incumbent(s) of any particular position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the scope of work is similar related or a logical assignment to this classification. 1. Teach lecture/lab classes as assigned from the Construction Management Curriculum. Particularly Fundamentals of Construction Management MGMT 450 and Project Management Site Exploration MGMT 680SD) 2. Create lesson plans facilitate effective instruction and assess student learning 3. Participate in the development and/or selection of course materials equipment and technology that will enhance project management offerings of the department 4. Participate on an ongoing basis in the development assessment and analysis of student learning outcomes in construction project management 5. Participate in professional development to maintain expertise in current teaching and discipline technologies and pedagogies 6. Consult with students during regularly scheduled office hours 7. Perform other duties as required by contract collective bargaining agreement and general institutional 8. Work evenings as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of any Bachelors degree AND two years of professional experience OR an Associate degree AND six years of professional experience OR the equivalent (see below) Residential and commercial experience related to construction management coordination and job site experience Active network involvement within the construction management industry community Demonstrated cultural competence sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability gender identity sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students faculty and staff
