Job Description Summary
The Controller provides leadership and management of the Controllers Office while performing highly technical duties in the Colleges Office of Finance. The Controller also manages the Colleges budget and ensures financial compliance with regulatory requirements to support its financial stability and academic mission. As a member of the finance management team the Controller works closely with the Vice Presidents and President in all areas of financial responsibility.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Education (requirements) Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or related. CPA certification (preferably current license in Maryland or ability to obtain a Maryland license within 6 months) Experience (requirements) Three years of fulltime experience as a controller preferably in higher education. Two years of management experience in general ledger accounting operations Four years of supervisory experience
